Land Surveying
A critical step in the development process is securing detailed and accurate base information as a starting point for making design decisions. Georgia Civil, Inc.'s survey department understands this and approaches each project with a standard of care that is unsurpassed. Whether it be a simple boundary survey or an ALTA survey, each project goes through Georgia Civil's own Survey Checklist. This checklist is designed to lead the surveyor and the client through a series of questions to make certain that the end product meets the client's needs while maintaining the highest standards in the surveying profession. Please visit the
survey main page for more information on Georgia Civil's surveying services.
Planning and Zoning
With State and Local regulations tightening, it is increasingly common for some sort of zoning action to take place for project approval. Georgia Civil, Inc. will produce the necessary documentation and present the project as requested by the Client. This process usually begins with a thorough review of State and Local regulations to devise a plan of action that meets the Client’s needs while conforming to the regulations of the governing body.

Feasibility Studies
An essential part of taking a Client’s vision from concept to reality is selecting a site that fits the desired use. Despite the real estate mantra- “location, location, location”, site selection is more than just location. It is much more than finding the right size site and finding a parcel that has a favorable zoning for the use. In addition to these aforementioned factors, physical, biological, and cultural aspects of a site should be considered early in the process to ensure a good fit and reduce development costs.
We feel so strongly about the importance of analyzing a site’s suitability before the design phase begins, that we are partnering with real estate agents throughout Georgia and South Carolina to provide a more holistic approach to the site selection process.
